First up, a couple of awesome tracks from Aussie alt-rockers The Getaway Plan. We were turned onto this band by someone who seems to have an uncanny knack for finding some awfully good bands with some awfully good music. Other Voices, Other Rooms is the debut album for the group, and wouldn't you know, it was recored in Florida. That's one reason it sounds so good!

The Anix is an L.A. Alt-Rock band with a hard sounding mix of dirty electronica and rock and drawing influences from Depeche Mode, Muse, The Police, The Cure, AFI, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Their latest, Demolition City, is due for release on June 17. The Anix is Brandon Smith (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Logan Smith (Drums) and Greg Nabours (Keyboard). I liked this band right from the first listen, bet you will too. Highly recommended.

Brooklyn based duo, KaiserCartel, have tidied up and are ready to invite you into their living room with the release of their new full-length album, March Forth, set to hit June 10 from bluhammock music. Courtney Kaiser and Benjamin Cartel are perfect for each other, coming nowhere close to stepping on each other with their appealing vocals giving you an old-time serenade feel. A perfect evening sundown song and very addictive. Also highly recommended.
