Introducing Sarah Perrotta
You don't have to listen to the music of Sarah Perrotta very long to come to the conclusion she was meant to be doing this. That was pretty obvious the first time I played some of her music while at work, and practically the entire room stopped and asked "who is that?". Reaction is usually good indicator of impression, and the impression she leaves is one of a unique set of talents. A totally-natural and sultry, graceful voice combined with rare piano-based rock, lyrics that make you want to dream and songs that stay with you. She's almost daring you to listen to her music and NOT be affected by it, or draw an experience from it, or in the case of the track Steel, not realize she's singing solely to you.

Sarah is from Hudson Valley, New York, and band members include Chris Lane` (guitar and effects), John Watson (drums), and Jon Stern (bass). Also contributing were special guests, Tony Levin (of Peter Gabriel, King Crimson) on bass and Garth Hudson (of The Band, Bob Dylan) on accordion. The album was mixed by grammy award winning
producer Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois) Sarah plays her own piano on all the tracks as well as the vocals and The Well is her first album. It's a magnificent debut release and I hope there is much, much more to come from her in the future. Her music will never leave you because it was meant to be in you. And you will dream.

It was extremely difficult to choose just a track or two to share, as everything on the album is brilliant. This may be some of the best music you'll hear this year by a truly wonderful artist. Highly recommended.
