Out Soon: The Warlocks, The Mirror Explodes
Great news in the inbox this morning: The Warlocks will have a new album, The Mirror Explodes, out on May 19th. If you aren't familiar with them, they are masters of hypnotic drone rock with their previous five albums all highly acclaimed and just fantastic to listen to. Their last LP, Heavy Deavy Skull Lover, was a cool, white-noise fantasy in music. If you aren't a fan of this genre, The Warlocks music might just make you one. The Mirror Explodes was produced and recorded by Rod Cervera (Weezer, The Rentals) at Clear Lake Studios and mastered by JJ Golden at Golden Mastering. The release will be via Tee Pee Records, who seems to have one of the most potent band lineups (Assemble Head, Black Math Horsemen) of any smaller label. Should be a great release!
