This is post number 1000 on Local Vertical. I was pondering what might be appropriate to celebrate this quasi-momentous occasion: another giveaway, some super-exclusive music track no one else had available, a shocking announcement of some sort. Nah, I'll just say what I feel and that's to simply say thank you. Thanks to so many bands and agents and their followers that have sent great music that if not for this blog I may never have heard of. Thanks to the numerous blogs that link here because they feel what I write is actually worthy of sharing. But most of all, thanks to all the people-almost 150,000 of them-that have found time in their days and nights to visit here, as without anyone reading the whole idea of this blog is kind of pointless. I feel a bit bad that due to a full-up work schedule I cannot post more frequently, but am grateful folks keep on visiting anyway. I've made some great acquaintances through the blog and that's been the biggest bonus of all. So to everyone, thanks...doing this has exceeded my expectations of enjoyment and that will continue to fuel Local Vertical.
