Spindrift, L.A.'s kings of psychedelia, will have the first official release the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed film, The Legend Of God's Gun, on July 21st. Members of the band had roles in the film, a story about a preacher-turned-gunslinger seeking vengeance. Mixing the dusty, cinematic soundscapes of old spaghetti-western films with mind-expanding psych rock, Spindrift makes music that sounds like what one would hear while tripping in the desert on a vision quest.

Rosie and Me feature the warm and uncomplicated-yet-beautiful vocals of Rosanne Machado. A four-piece experimental/folk band from Brazil, Rosie and Me is another of those hardworking bands hoping to be signed to a label but will continue to work hard and make good music regardless. They release their first album, Swing Swing, in 2007.

The new pop band Jeepster from San Francisco will release their first full-length, What If All The Rebels Died?, on June 30th. Jeepster plays some fine pop tunes, mixing the influences from the British and American pop in a unique manner. The band certainly refers to a lot of oldies like T-Rex (one of the strongest influence for this young band) but also shows its love for the more recent pop scene (Jesus & Mary Chain, Portugal The Man, The Vines).

We've got a track for you from the upcoming release The Mirror Explodes, from L.A. psyche rock band The Warlocks. If you don't know the band, they are an awesome white-noise-in-music band whose music sends you into realms you had not idea existed. The Mirror Explodes on May 19th; coincidentally, the album is released on that day also.

New York's exuberant new wave folk outfit The Honey Brothers are ready to kick off summer with brand new music in the form of the Demonstration EP on June 16th. Written and recorded as a follow-up to their 2006 debut Songs for Your Sister, Demonstration is a 4-song treat comprising quirky rock anthems perfect as the soundtrack for summer's bike rides, gritty bar crawls and sweaty dance parties alike. Taking Honey on as new last names like a sweeter reincarnation of The Ramones, The Honey Brothers began 1 dog year ago as the all-acoustic trio of banjoist Dory Honey (Andrew Vladeck), guitarist Dr. J Carl Honey (D.S. Posner) and ukulele strummer H. Huckleberry Honey (Ari Gold). They soon added drummer Honey DuContra (Adrian Grenier) and Ari's real-life twin brother, Raw Honey (bassist Ethan Gold), to form a raucous quintet that blends volatile melodies and four-part harmonies with sharp rhythms. The group described itself as "Hawaiian-Appalachian Glam Rock" and the first single Demonstration"features a joyful melody, angular basslines, a group-sung chorus and a twitchy groove.
