New Music: Auld Lang Syne, Midnight Folly
Happy Friday everyone. Hope yours was better than mine; sometimes a day has suck written all over it the moment you get out of bed and this was one of them. But some good news when I uncorked the email: Auld Lang Syne's new album, Midnight Folly, has been released. You probably don't know much about them, but they are a fantastic rock-country-soul band from Rochester, New York, with an uncanny knack of making some of the best music you'll ever hear. With nine tracks totalling over an hour in length, you'll hear the awesome range of the band, from achingly woeful to blisteringly desperate to gospel shouts that will shake your knees. I've said it about a couple bands that I've discovered since I started writing this blog and I'll certainly include Auld Lang Syne in the description: they are probably one of the best bands you've never heard of. Just glorious...and highly recommended.
