I guess I can admit I'm guilty of already starting to mentally back down from the work week with the three-day holiday weekend on the horizon. Usually, I'd be so stoked about it but I'm so pooped I'm just looking forward to some sleep. Everything is going well upstairs with Discovery, and everything seems to be going well with Ares, so I'll take it for what it seems it's worth and enjoy the break. I'll likely also have decent time to go through the music in the big blue folder on the desktop and plan to get fairly active on the blog over the weekend.Musically, a good way to get an early jump on the weekend is a track from The Drones upcoming Live album, recently recorded at The HiFi in Brisbane, Australia and due for release later this year. They are a great band, featuring their brand of melodic, dreamy rock and always putting on an energetic-as-hell show. They will be starting a short US tour in Brooklyn on September 9th.
